This is one of the most famous scenes in world literature and derives from the much revered epic poem "The Odyssey" (Homer) and describes Odysseus' arrival at Scheria (today Corfu). The whole 8 chapters used Homer to describe Corfu and the Ionian Princess.But not only Homer was captivated by the beauty of Corfu. Throughout the ages, many different peoples felt drawn to the island, which is all its own. We reach Corfu by ferry from Igoumenitsa and visit this charming island whose inhabitants are real connoisseurs, is an unforgettable experience. On our trip to the green pearl of the Ionian Sea, we visit Achillion.The palace built in honor of the hero Achilles by Princess Elizabeth. We stop at the viewpoint Kanoni where we see Mouse Island. And we drive past the royal garden where King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie often lived. In Corfu town, there will be free time, so you can choose whether you want to visit the city's fortress, visit the Agios Spiridon, the island's main church where St. Spriridon located in the crypt, shopping or a little of everything. There will also be time for lunch. The tour leader recommends obviously a good place in the quaint little streets of Corfu Town.
